Alice loves rocky mountain highs, dry socks, white blazes and bird watching. She's from the Garden State. At Yale, Alice runs, majors in English and resides in Jonathan Edwards college.

Blair Lanier
Boris Lukanov

Boris's love for the mountains is almost as strong as his love for sheep feta cheese. When it comes to climbing, he's done it all - rock, ice, trees, communist monuments... He has climbed extensively in the Cascades, the Alps, and California, which, as he readily admits, has been excellent training for Mount Washington, NH.

Charles Zhu
Chelsea Andreozzi
Christina Coffin

Chris Coffin is Director of Production at Yale University Press and was a Yale undergraduate eons ago. Wilderness canoeing takes her to the Yukon, NWT and Chile, but in real life she loves the book business and YO outings in northwestern CT, where she grew up.
Chris Brown

A wee bit strange, excellently robust was Chris. But not a person smelled like him. He leapt 500 graceful yards into the very large wilderness.
Christopher Magoon
Craig Minoff
David Lilien

David was born in the mountains of Mongolia, where he was adopted by a Yeti until age 6, when he was taken in by a kind shepherd. After a few years he became bored of the pastoral life, so he built a kayak and paddled to Illinois, where he spent eight years running up to Minnesota to go canoeing. He now lives in Welch, with no boats and no sheep, so he goes hiking and climbing while he studies physics on the side.
Eleanor Hayes-Larson
Eli Bildner
Elliott Brennan

Elliott likes hiking as much as he likes you -- a lot! Also, Elliott like cycling, jumping off things into water, and having sing-a-longs; but none of these as much as he likes YOU!

Ismail El Baggari
Jason Groves

Jason Groves splits his time between the littoral and the literary.
John Ela

John was born at midnight in the midst of a Wisconsin blizzard and emerged from the womb with a paddle in one hand and pack on his back. It was kind of painful for his dear mother. By the age of four he was catching muskie with his teeth and by the time puberty hit two years later he was crossing the continent by canoe. Now he has moved on to bigger and better adventures with Yale Outdoors.
Jon Russell

Jon has very long legs and reverts back to brute primal instincts when he finds blueberries on the trail. Jon enjoys fungi, birch groves, moving water, and pooping in the woods. Here's a picture of him with a GIANT SHELF FUNGUS! WOW!
Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins

When the sun has slipped below the horizon and the stars are twinkling in the sky above, the out of doors is positively Jonathan's favorite place in the world. It's not too shabby during the day either!
Joshua Haselkorn
Judd Rosenblatt

Judd hails from Edgemont, NY, where he was almost arrested for canoeing in the local duck pond. He leads wilderness trips in the Boundary Waters, Quetico, and elsewhere in the northwoods in the summers for Camp Nebagamon. He loves everything outdoors, but particularly the back of a canoe. In fact, he is so good at canoeing that Stern is his middle name.
Julian Malinak
Kate Lund
Kelsey Gustafson

Hailing from the vast, beautiful, obviously overly-populated state of North Dakota, Kelsey grew up in a land of polar ice caps and artic wind chills. Joining YO has given her a chance to explore new types of terrain (no mountains in ND, unfortunately), learn 50 different ways to cook an onion, and hang out with the most awesome people in the world!
Kerry Rippy

Kerry Rippy loves hiking up mountains but not down them. this is inconvenient in summer but she solves it in winter with sleds!!! She is considering only hiking in summer when it is about to rain, so hopefully she will reach the top just as the rain starts and she will slide down in the mud, because she thinks mud is pretty awesome too.
Lisa Simon
Logan Glickfield
Maria Birukova

Maria Birukova likes rocks. Especially big rocks, and sometimes icy ones. The trials of Mother Russia and Father Frost have prepared her for some serious outdoor adventuring, though she occasionally takes a break to hibernate in Trumbull College or study some biomedical engineering.
Max Budovitch
Meg Evans
Michael Schulson

Born 9/16/89...first ascents include Mt. Yale, Big Frog Mountain, K2, and East Rock...enjoys rock climbing but is so bad with knots that he struggles to tie his own shoes...raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee on a diet of sweet tea, peanut butter sandwiches, and Faulkner...current writing projects include: "Pasteurizing the Milky Way: A Prose Poem";
A Comprehensive Guide to the Hiking Trails of Hamilton County, Tennessee and Environs; and a three volume history of Yale Outdoors.
Nicolas Kemper

Nicolas Kemper has been an avid outdoorsman ever since a bald eagle plucked him from his mother's crib as a baby, raising him as an eaglet until the age of two, when he discovered wings and feathers were indeed a requisite for flight. Nevertheless, a love of the outdoors persisted after he returned to Kansas City, where he continued to seek those domains still unfettered by man through boy scouts and the occasional national geographic. Now he is a junior in Pierson College majoring in Humanities and International Studies and the serving publicist and membership coordinator for Yale Outdoors.
